Ten years ago, I came to Canada with my cat, a suitcase, and no idea what starting over would look like. One thing I did know was that I have always been exceptionally good at cleaning and transforming spaces into peaceful sanctuaries.
My relationship with cleaning hasn’t always been simple. I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and my need for things to feel clean and “just right” consumed my life in very unhealthy ways. I reached a point where I felt like I had no control over my compulsions, and I knew I needed help. Seeking professional help ended up being one of the best decisions and investments I have ever made in my life.
Things began to improve after completing my business degree, when I decided to use my skills to help others. I found a way to channel my attention to detail into something creative, useful, and most importantly healthy. I began to see cleaning as a fun puzzle rather than something my brain convinced me I was doing for survival. Now cleaning heals me and brings me joy.
When I’m not working on my business, I’m usually spending time with my wonderful wife, loved ones, and our cat Toby. I also love making music and exploring the city’s best coffee shops.
